and the five o'clockers gather round
hushed from their rush and tickertapes
by his words,
whispered
they linger and loiter and loot
his cache
parading in
trenchcoats
and pantyhouse
and breaktimes
listening
to their lives
in make believe
wannabee's,
and verytales
whispered
and she draws a circle in pastels
around his workaholic words
and the shady people grazing him
but noone notices
the colors
that
she's painting
just the barefeet
dancing through
the stories
leaving chalky footprints
on the sidewalk
and the way
she collects
his dimes

I got Jimi on my Juke box right now. An album called Voodoo Soup, with rare songs like 'Message to Love' and 'Ezy Rider' and 'Peace in Mississippi'. Great CD. I've had it for years without really listening to it.
Of course, I have like two hundred CDs so it's ezy to forget things.
Inspiration, no further than the corner bar...
I'm still aching for my Janis cd scratched in a cat fight in Georgia.....ok, I could replace it for 11.99 so I shouldn't whine, but still.....
(And um, no, I wasn't the one scratching)
We need to punk our little club up a bit, you know, add a disco light, a ladies room, some links....

Obviously, she was jealous of your magic people skills.
I was thnking the same thing. We should hang pictures of our favorite musicians and artists.
And maybe a drawing or two, on the saide bar. I love the butterflys up top. They work out great.
